Flickr Flipper is an Adobe Air app that allows you to browse Flickr. It is a very basic app that lets you type keywords and displays a single picture in return. You can manually browse the results by going forward or back (clicking on the arrows). There is also a slideshow mode that is activated via a little "play" button. That function goes through pictures every 5 seconds or so, and there is a nice little transition effect for each picture. Flickr Flipper has some very drastic limitations, though. There isn't a full-screen mode, pictures will only be shown in small size, you can't see snapshots of pictures to click and open them. You only see one picture at a time, which you can't enlarge in anyway, unless you download the original to your computer, which is easy enough using the download button. Another limitation is the fact that you can't get more than one hundred search results at a time. For the casual picture browsing, Flickr Flipper does fine, but if you require more advanced features you'd better look the other way. The good thing about this app is that it is an Adobe Air app, and that means that you can use it on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
